This is the first year we have produced this beautiful variety. We don’t have many but are releasing a limited number. They are similar to axanthic coppers but have a distinct violet hue and generally darker gills. Their pattern also seems to be more pronounced especially on their sides. They also tend to have more spots, with some even having unusual spots on their gill stalks. They all originate from our Peeky (axanthic copper) X Baby (light copper) pairing. Siblings were all coppers and included coppers, axanthic coppers, light coppers, high leopard coppers and a small number of copper leucistics.
